I’ve been working with Murray for about 4 years.  Started when I was a “B+” plus rider tired of getting dropped on the “A” rides.  It didn’t take long before my worries about getting dropped just disappeared.  Tell him what you want to do, how often you can train, follow his work outs, provide him some feed back and you’ll get results.  His track record speaks for itself.  It just doesn’t get any easier.

I met Murray Davis five years ago.  He appeared on our club rides on his flame’d Trek and I didn’t know what to think of him.  He learned that I was getting back into racing bicycles after a ten year break and was eager to help.

We started with bicycle position and a few interval workouts, with great results.  I was competing against people who had been racing the last ten years and was invited to join Lateral Stress Velo by the end of that season.  I was ranked second in BAR points for USCF Novice Cat 4 senior men that year.  I took pride in that accomplishment, considering I was 32 years old,  working 55 hours a week as a chef , father of two young children, and beating all the kids in their teens and twenties who had more time to train and rest properly.

Performance Resources enabled me to compete on a level I hadn’t expected possible.  Daily cycling workouts, weight training, competitive strategy, stress maintenance, diet, and rest were discussed weekly to help me attain my short and long term goals as an amateur athlete.  The workouts were tailored to my needs and the amount of time I could realistically commit to attaining them.

To date I have stepped back from competition and ride my bike for fun these days.  Murray and I still speak occasionally and it’s obvious that he is still very passionate about helping folks realize their potential in a variety of aerobic sports.  I’d say my experience exceeded expectations and recommend Performance Resources to anyone who aspires to win, or just to feel good while trying.  In my life, the journey is as essential to the process as the outcome.

I say thanks to the Dude (Murray).

"I have known Murray personally as a friend, professionally as a coach and teacher for over 15 years. He has helped me as an athlete from my high school and college years of competing in cross country and endurance events on the track to my adult life as an age-grouper tri-athlete. Each year I have asked him for coaching and training guidance and each year he has re-developed and improved upon his ideas and philosophies with the ultimate goal of providing me with success both in my athletic endeavors and personal life."
